Anticipate I Can't Wait!
Hey gang! This week we were suppose to create an animation, with our ball, that demonstrates......wait for it......Anticipation! We were given an obstacle course and we had to have our ball anticipate jumping, by squashing, and burst through it. Here is my animation. Enjoy!
Hey! For you Maya animators out there. I just downloaded Jason Schleifer's Grease Pencil MEL script. Basically, you can draw thumbnails, like a grease pencil on glass, in any Maya window and have it play back in the timeline. It is awesome for blocking out and timing your shots. If you don't have it click here to download it. Rock!
Right now I am drawing thumbnails for my "ball with a tail" animation. It is kind of foxy and kind of squirrelly. I just hope in the end it won't be...ahh...Assy!
Nirvana's song Return of the Rat is in my mind 24/7 these days. Listen to it now and it can be in your mind too.
In Rock-tero!

I like the ball bouncing around. It's a fun set as well. I think the transition between the initial hop to the platform to interacting with the objects is a bit off... Couldn't tell you why. Maybe needed a bit more anticipation.

that was cool. for some reason it reminded me of red bull.
I don't think the transition to the roll was too fast. red bull.

umm... i don't know. the ball just seemed very energetic. i like how it accelerated so fast into the air that it got deformed a little.
